Mackenzie Heslop captured 1st place in the Canton Scholastic Championship Chess Tournament held on Saturday at AMS. He competed in the K-12 Reserve section and won 4/4 matches!

The AMS students will have conditioning on Wed March 1st from 2:45 till 4:15. On Thurs. March 2nd there will be conditioning from 2:45 till 4:15 with a parent meeting to follow.
AMS Crusaders had the opportunity to visit the high school junior cosmetology class. The students had an amazing experience as they received manicures, facials, and haircuts.
The AMS academic challenge team defeated Crenshaw Middle School in three rounds in their most recent match. This is the 5th win for the team making their season record 5-1.

The AMS academic challenge team defeated Hartford STEAM Academy in their latest match. Scores for each round were as follows: R1 17-2, R2 13,0, R3 15-2. This win brings the teams record to 4-1.

Alliance Middle School's Academic Challenge Team defeated Oakwood Middle School 3-0 by scores of 9-8, 13-6, 15-8 in its second match of the season.

Mrs. Cody's class received a grant for two class pets. They chose guinea pigs. Students are being responsible caring for them and feeding them.
Students in Medical Detectives learned about vital signs this week. They used probes to take their temperatures, use monitors to measure their blood pressure and learn to take their own pulse.
